సంక్షిప్త పరిచయం
ఘట్టమనేని సివరామ కృష్ణ మూర్తి — తెలుగు సినిమా తొలి 'సూపర్స్టార్'. 1965లో తేనె మనసులుతో అరంగేట్రం; 1972 పండంటి కాపురంతో నవ్యత హీరో; 1980s మాస్ హీరోగా మరోసారి. 350+ సినిమాలు అన్ని జానర్లలో.
తొలి-గామి ('ఫస్ట్-ఎవర్')
తెలుగు సినిమాలో సిన్మాస్కోప్ (అల్లూరి సీతారామరాజు, 1974), ఈస్ట్మాన్ కలర్, 70mm (సింహాసనం, 1986), DTS సౌండ్ (టెలిఫోన్), ట్రిపుల్-రోల్ — తొలిసారి తీసుకువచ్చిన తెలుగు హీరో.
రాజకీయం
1989–91 కాంగ్రెస్ ఎంపీ (ఏలూరు). NTR-తదనంతర AP రాజకీయాల్లో — తెలుగు సినిమా రాజకీయ నాయకుల్లో ఒకరు.

నిష్క్రమణ
2022 నవంబర్ 15న 79 ఏళ్ల వయసులో నిష్క్రమణ — తెలుగు సినిమా దుఃఖంలో మునిగింది.

Overview
Krishna Ghattamaneni — born Siva Rama Krishna Murthy — was Telugu cinema's first 'Superstar'. He debuted in 1965's Tene Manasulu, broke through with 1972's Pandanti Kapuram and remained a leading man through the 1980s mass-hero era, with over 350 films across genres.
Pioneer of Telugu cinema firsts
He was the first Telugu hero to bring CinemaScope (Alluri Sitaramaraju, 1974), Eastman Color, 70mm (Simhasanam, 1986), DTS sound, and triple-role formats to Telugu cinema.
Politics
Member of Parliament (Congress, Eluru) from 1989–91 — one of Telugu cinema's earliest film-to-politics crossovers.
Padma Bhushan + family
Padma Bhushan (2009). Married to actress-director Vijaya Nirmala. Father of Mahesh Babu; grandfather of Gautam and Sitara.
Passing
Passed away on 15 November 2022 at age 79.
