విజయశాంతి (విజయలక్ష్మి) — తెలుగు సినిమా 'లేడీ అమితాబ్'. 1980లో కన్నడ కిలాడీ కృష్ణుడుతో అరంగేట్రం; తెలుగులో కల్లుపాల్ చీర, నెరోటర్నము, ప్రతిఘటన (1985), ఈరోజు, స్ట్రీట్ ఫైటర్, ఏక్ ఆర్దేశ్క, ఆంధ్ర మహాలక్ష్మి, కర్తవ్యం (1990), ఓసి సాధనం, మొండి మొగుడు పెంకి పెళ్ళాం. 180+ సినిమాలు.

రాజకీయం
BJP తో రాజకీయ ప్రవేశం (1998); TRS (BRS)లో చేరిక (2009); 2009 మెదక్ నుంచి ఎంపీ; KCRతో దగ్గర-రాజకీయ సంబంధం. 2020లో BJPలో రీ-చేరిక.

Overview
Vijayashanti — born Vijayalakshmi — is Telugu cinema's 'Lady Amitabh' / 'Lady Superstar'. She debuted in 1980 in the Kannada Kiladi Krishnudu and went on to act in 180+ films across Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.
Kartavyam — National Film Award
Her role as the IPS officer Vijaya in Kartavyam (1990) won her the National Film Award for Best Actress — making her one of the first Telugu heroines to anchor a commercially successful female-action lead.
Politics
Entered politics via BJP (1998), shifted to TRS (BRS, 2009) and was elected MP from Medak in 2009. Returned to BJP in 2020.
Honours
National Film Award (Kartavyam, 1990), 5 Nandi Awards, multiple Filmfare South wins.
