ప్రారంభం
1959 మే 22న చెన్నైలో జన్మించిన సుమన్, 1985లో 'బొబ్బిలి బ్రహ్మన్న'తో తెలుగు అరంగేట్రం. 'బొబ్బిలి రాజా' (1990 — చిరంజీవి-రాముడు పాత్ర) వంటి హిట్లతో 90ల్లో స్థిర హీరో.
పౌరాణిక + టీవీ
'శ్రీ మంజునాథ' (2001) — శ్రీశైలం మల్లికార్జున స్వామిగా నటించిన చిత్రం. 'శ్రీ రామరాజ్యం' (2011) — శ్రీ రాముడు పాత్ర. తెలుగు, తమిళ, కన్నడ టీవీ ధారావాహికాల్లో పౌరాణిక + చారిత్రక పాత్రలు.
ప్రస్తుత
'రాధే శ్యామ్' (2022), ఇటీవలి బిగ్-బడ్జెట్ చిత్రాల్లో పోషక పాత్రలు. 90ల హిట్ హీరోగా జ్ఞాపకాల్లో కొనసాగుతున్న పేరు.

Origins
Born Talwar Mahalingam on 22 May 1959 in Chennai. Telugu debut with 'Bobbili Brahmanna' (1985).
The Bobbili Years
'Bobbili Raja' (1990) — playing Chiranjeevi's brother — locked him in as a dependable second-tier 1990s Telugu lead. Solid action and family-drama leads followed across the decade.
Mythological Phase
From the 2000s onward, Suman moved deliberately into mythological and historical leads — 'Sri Manjunatha' (2001), 'Sri Ramarajyam' (2011) — and consistent television work as a senior period-piece presence in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada serials. Recent supporting roles in modern Telugu cinema (Radhe Shyam, 2022) keep him in current rotation.
