సంక్షిప్త పరిచయం
చిరంజీవి (కొణిదెల శివశంకర వరప్రసాద్) — తెలుగు సినిమా మెగాస్టార్. 1978లో 'ప్రణామ ఖరీదు' అరంగేట్రం తర్వాత, 150+ సినిమాల్లో నటించి తెలుగు సినిమా చరిత్రను తిరగరాశారు. ఖైదీ నెం 786, ఇంద్ర, టగర్, శంకర్ దాదా MBBS, స్టాలిన్ — ఆయన మాస్ ఎంటర్టైనర్గా ఎదిగిన ప్రయాణం.
మాస్ హీరో + డాన్స్ స్టార్
భారీ యాక్షన్, అద్భుత డాన్స్ స్టెప్లు, ప్రేక్షక సందేశం — చిరంజీవి యొక్క ట్రేడ్మార్క్. 90లలో రూ.1 కోటి పారితోషికం తీసుకున్న మొదటి తెలుగు హీరో. ఆయన బాబా, జై చిరంజీవ వంటి సినిమాలు పాన్ ఇండియా రీచ్తో ప్రసిద్ధి.
రాజకీయ ప్రవేశం
2008లో ప్రజా రాజ్యం పార్టీ స్థాపించి, తర్వాత కాంగ్రెస్లో విలీనం. 2012–14లో UPA కేబినెట్లో కేంద్ర పర్యాటక శాఖ మంత్రిగా పనిచేశారు.
సినీ కమ్బ్యాక్
2017లో ఖైదీ నెం 150తో సినిమాలకు తిరిగి వచ్చారు. సై రా నరసింహ రెడ్డి, ఆచార్య, GodFather, Bhola Shankar, Waltair Veerayya, Bro — 2020ల చిరంజీవి కామ్బ్యాక్ సినిమాలు. 2025లో విశ్వంభరతో మరోసారి ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు.
కుటుంబం & వారసత్వం
పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ (తమ్ముడు), రామ్ చరణ్ (కుమారుడు), అల్లు అర్జున్ (మేనల్లుడు) — కొణిదెల-అల్లు కుటుంబం టాలీవుడ్ యొక్క బలమైన వంశం. చిరంజీవి స్థాపించిన చిరంజీవి ఛారిటబుల్ ట్రస్ట్ ద్వారా రక్తదానం, నేత్రదానం, వైద్య సహాయం — లక్షల మందికి అందించారు.
పురస్కారాలు
పద్మ భూషణ్ (2006), 9 నంది అవార్డులు, 5 ఫిల్మ్ఫేర్ సౌత్ — తెలుగు సినిమాలో అత్యధిక గౌరవాలు పొందిన నటుల్లో ఒకరు. 2024లో ఆస్కార్ల వేదిక మీద తెలుగు భాషా ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించారు.

Overview
Chiranjeevi (Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad) is the Megastar of Telugu cinema. Since his 1978 debut in Pranam Khareedu, he has acted in 150+ films and reshaped Telugu cinema as a mass entertainer and pan-Indian star.
Mass hero + dance icon
His trademark mix of high-energy action, signature dance steps, and pro-people messaging defined Telugu mass cinema through the 1980s, 90s, and 2000s. He was the first Telugu hero to command ₹1 crore per film.
Political career
Founded the Praja Rajyam Party in 2008, later merged with Congress. Served as Union Minister of Tourism in UPA-2 (2012–14).
Comeback era
Returned to acting with Khaidi No 150 (2017). Subsequent films include Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Acharya, GodFather, Waltair Veerayya, Bhola Shankar, Bro, and Vishwambhara (2025).
Family + legacy
Brother of Pawan Kalyan, father of Ram Charan, uncle of Allu Arjun — Chiranjeevi anchors the powerful Konidela-Allu film dynasty. His Charitable Trust runs blood, eye, and medical donation drives that have helped lakhs of people.
Honours
Padma Bhushan (2006), 9 Nandi Awards, 5 Filmfare South awards. Recognised as one of the most decorated artists in Telugu cinema.
