ప్రారంభం
1995 సెప్టెంబర్ 24న హైదరాబాదులో జన్మించిన ఆనంద్ దేవరకొండ, తండ్రి గోవర్ధన్ రావు (అమ్మాదెల్లి/ ఇంటిరి అడ్మినిస్ట్రేటర్), తల్లి మాధవి. అన్నయ్య విజయ్ దేవరకొండ ('అర్జున్ రెడ్డి' హిట్తో పాన్-ఇండియా స్టార్). అన్నయ్య ముద్ర నుండి బయటపడాలనే లక్ష్యంతో, ఆనంద్ చిన్న-బడ్జెట్ ఆర్ట్-హౌస్ ప్రాజెక్టులతో అరంగేట్రం చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు.

'దొరసాని' (2019) — KCR కుమార్తె కవిత భూసంబంధం ఆధారిత హిస్టారికల్ రొమాన్స్; ఆనంద్ తొలి చిత్రం. తర్వాత 'మిడిల్ క్లాస్ మెలోడీ' (2020) — లక్నో-ఆధారిత గ్రామీణ-నగర మధ్యతరగతి కథ; విమర్శనా + ప్రేక్షక ప్రశంసలు. 'పుష్పక విమానం' (2021), 'శో అతిథి' (2022 — OTT), 'గమ్ గాడేత్తనం' (2023) — ఇవి ఆనంద్ను 'రియలిస్టిక్ తెలుగు హీరో' కేటగిరీలో నిలిపాయి.
భవిష్యత్తు
2024-2025 నుండి కొన్ని పెద్ద కామర్షియల్ ప్రాజెక్టులు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. అన్నయ్య విజయ్ దేవరకొండ యొక్క మాస్ హీరో రెజిస్టర్ నుండి విడిగా, ఇండీ-రియలిస్టిక్ + స్లైస్-ఆఫ్-లైఫ్ సినిమాల ఛాంపియన్గా ఆనంద్ తనను నిలుపుకుంటున్నాడు. తెలుగు ఇండీ సినిమా రెంసాలోనే ఒక ముఖ్యమైన పేరు.

Origins
Born 24 September 1995 in Hyderabad. Father Govardhan Rao (administrative service), mother Madhavi. Older brother Vijay Deverakonda is one of Telugu cinema's biggest stars after 'Arjun Reddy'. From the start Anand chose an independent identity over riding the family wave — debuting in small-budget, indie-realist projects rather than mass-hero vehicles.
Debut and Identity
'Dorasaani' (2019) — a historical romance set against the Telangana-state political backdrop — was his debut. 'Middle Class Melody' (2020) followed and earned both critical and audience appreciation as a tender small-town family story. 'Pushpaka Vimanam' (2021), 'Show Athidhi' (2022, OTT) and 'Gam Gam Ganesha' (2023) further built his identity as the realist-leaning Telugu lead — adjacent to but distinct from the mass-hero register his brother occupies.
Outlook
From 2024-2025 onward he has begun moving toward larger commercial projects while keeping a foot in the indie-realist register. The deliberate separation from the Vijay Deverakonda comparison — and the steady accumulation of well-reviewed mid-budget films — is becoming one of the more thoughtful career arcs in the current generation of Telugu leads.
